Sending Back the Sea Turtle to its own Habitat – July 26, 2019
Today July 26, 2019, @ 9:30 in the morning, we released the Hawksbill Sea Turtle. Approximately 8 inches & 1 kilo. The said sea turtle was trapped inside the fishnet of a fisherman named Herbert Molina @ sea of Brgy. Tinabilan last Monday, July 22, 2019. This was freely surrendered to the Human Ecological Security (HES) for proper tagging & documentation. This was released in the Palompon local sea bed called “kenyentos” by Sheryl Lynn Cabahug Elliot one of the MEETO staff.
The Hawksbill turtle is one of the smallest species of sea turtles. It gets its name from its sharp lower jaw and is listed as Critically Endangered.
