Abre Grande – Part Five (Open Water Swim)
November 08, 2022. Palompon opened the month-long series of activities with the Abre Grande which commemorates the community’s journey of survival from the wrath of Typhoon Yolanda nine years ago. The day started with a thanksgiving mass, solemn ecumenical prayers, and a formal opening of the Abre Grande and the AgriFair. It also featured water sports contests such as the Kayak Marathon, Aquathlon, Open Water Swim, Coffee Processing Workshop, Cook Fest, and Food Bazaar cum Barbikyuhan sa Bitaog in the evening.
